1. Why should I consider participating in Outward Bound training?
Outward Bound training is about bringing out the best in people, to help individuals develop their potential to care for themselves and others through a self-discovery journey. 2. What do I get the money I pay?
Your course fee, of course, covers the costs of meals, accommodation, equipment and professional training. Your course, however, will not be just like the one your friend or family member had. Each course is uniquely shaped by the salient characteristics of individual participants, group desires, and staff decisions. So, your course will be your experience and yours alone, the most distinctive value of all for your money.

3. Do I have to be strong or athletic?
Not really. Participants of varying physical abilities and fitness levels have successfully completed Outward Bound courses. You need to be in basic good health. A reasonable level of physical fitness does enable you to enjoy the experience more.

4. I can't swim. Is this a problem?
No. Life jackets are compulsory for water activities for obvious safety reasons.

5. What if I am afraid of heights, cold, or ...?
Everyone on an Outward Bound?course feels a little apprehensive at the beginning. All we ask is that you are willing to try. All tasks are achievable.

6. Will I be safe ?
Safety is the number one priority at Outward Bound. Our highly trained instructors make sure all activities adhere to strict safety guidelines that we have developed over 30 years. Safety briefings precede each activity to make you aware of all safety procedures and practices.

7. What is a solo?
A solo is the period of time we set aside for you to be totally alone, ranging from 24 to 72 hours, on every 10 or 18-day course. It's a unique time to reflect on your experiences, get to know yourself better, and set goals for the future.

8. Can I get financial aid?
Yes. You are encouraged to apply for financial subsidies if you have financial needs. The application procedures are simple and easy. For details, please refer to the "Enrolment Procedures" section.

9. Do I need special equipment?
You only need to bring with you is a good pair of boots or hiking shoes, basic clothing, and a few personal items. We supply all other gears required for your course.

10. How do I prepare myself for the course?
Have a positive attitude. Upon receiving your full payment, we will send you information on how to choose your boots, how to make travel arrangements, how to pack for the course, and how to become more physically fit.
