Motivated by quest to preserve a green and healthy earth for future generations, OBHK is partnering with CarbonCare InnoLab (CCIL) by joining the “Jockey Club SolarCare Programme” which helps to provide a free service in building solar panels on several OBHK buildings.
The programme is funded by a donation of HK$24 million from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust to various non-profit organizations, including social service organizations, training centers, and camps, and is implemented by CCIL, with a view to promoting the use of renewable energy in Hong Kong.
With 342 panels, our Tai Mong Tsai basecamp is currently the second-largest installation in the project. TMT produces a daily yield of approximately 9775.45 kWh.
With the solar energy system implemented and connected to the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) Scheme by two power companies, we hope to reduce carbon emissions at our basecamp and generate extra energy to put back in to the system.
