The Hong Kong Club Foundation started a pilot project and provided financial support for the students from St. Antonius Girls' College to attend a 5-day Experiential Education Programme. With tremendous support from the Headmistress and teachers, 84 girls had a remarkable experience helping them develop self-confidence and strengthening their ability to cope with adversity.
We owe thanks to the Hong Kong Club Foundation with their generosity, in enabling OBHK to add value to St. Antonius Girls’ College.
"In order to strengthen the leadership power, organizing and team building skills of our student leaders, 84 F.4 students have participated in the 5 days joint school student leadership program organized by Outward Bound. The whole adventure is often described as a journey, both physical and metaphorical for our students to gain new insights and experiences working with others. Different challenges such as problem solving activities, sea kayaking, hiking, jumping off the pier and climbing rocks, etc. were carefully designed to achieve those purposes.
All leaders gained very tough but valuable experiences which are useful to their future leading tasks in school. Students step out from their comfort zone and make changes in their life that can lead to real personal growth."

In Dec 2019, our F.4 students participated in the leadership training programme organised by Outward Bound Hong Kong. This is a great opportunity to build up their leadership skills, problem-solving skills and self-confidence. The Outward Bound instructors were very supportive and helpful during the entire training programme and our students enjoyed the time spent with them. Throughout the 5-day journey, students took up different challenges such as hiking, sailing and jumping off from the pier. Although they had to make decisions under challenging circumstances, they explored the wild outdoors, discovered their own inner self and pushed themselves to the very limits of their capacity. It was definitely a rewarding activity and they had shared an experience that was unique and belonged only to them.
