Unlike yesterday, today we are sailing back to Hong Kong instead of Okinawa, what a plot, eh? Due to the formation of a super typhoon, and with safety being our number one priority, we will have to sail back to Hong Kong. Stay tuned for updates, we may have other plans for the trip.

This is our 3rd day at sea. Still strong and excited! And no seasickness for me! Wonderful, challenging waves and a pleasant breeze.

Today is the day that Andy and I being the 'mother watch'. Still fun and we made pizza for the crew for lunch. Feedback is positive, even from the crew member suffering from severe seasickness.

Going to the bow in 30 knot winds and 4 metre waves is super exciting. Soaking wet from head to toe. And the waves would always keep you sharp and strong. It's fun to hoist the Yankee with the skipper last night.

The wildlife we encountered at sea gave me so much pleasure on this trip. One of the early mornings, at the start of my daily watch, our crew member calls out in an excited voice. Dolphins! Dolphins!

I was driving the boat at the time and I had the most amazing feeling that I could be driving next to a pod of wild dolphins.

Another amazing moment is when a homing pigeon tries to land on the boat next to my feet. I hadn't expected to see a pigeon in the water so far from land. Both the dolphin and the pigeon really lifted my spirits for the expedition.

Last night we received the sad news that we may have to return to Hong Kong due to weather conditions in Taiwan and the Philippines. It's hard to forget the frustration I feel at the moment, but I guess that's what sailing is all about.

We may not make it to Okinawa, but the little moments along the way will still give me unique and fun sailing memories. This is not the end of the journey, it is the beginning. This experience has given me the chance to discover what I'm capable of, and I'm discovering that I love sailing.

I cannot tell you how grateful I am to have all these incredible crew members and the support of friends and family. I will never forget those wavy nights and the rocking boat and I hope we have another chance to explore the sailing world in the near future.
