This is our third day of expedition, which we call it “lucky day”.

It was a bit cloudy and with strong wind when we start our morning, the highest wind speed(SOG) was 13 knot, we were very excited about it since there are around 100 nautical miles left. We believe it was “tin gung jor mei”.

“Flying fish, flying fish!!” Can you imagine, there fishes flying beyond the sea just like birds! This is our first time seeing these lovely creatures, how beautiful and incredible nature is!

As the wind going stronger, the wind speed increased to 30ish, we had to do Reefing to reduce the force generated by main sail’s surface area. It was not easy because it was too bumpy to stand firm. We all got wet, but we did it!!!

In the evening, there were 40 nautical miles to Kaohsiung left, and dolphins came!!!

“dolphins dolphins!!!” We were screaming, videoing and waking up our teammates! There were at least 30 of them, swimming close to us. They were gray dolphins, coming from both sides! From the front of the boat we saw them swimming in front of our boat, occasionally jumped out of the water to show us their beautiful fins. This is so worth for the trip, once in a lifetime! With the perfect sunset, we have a unforgettable evening, a wonderful story to share with and tell our kids 10 years later.

As the mountains from Taiwan side reduces the wind speed, we need to unreef the main sail, and continue our journey. There are a few hours left, then we could finally arrive Taiwan! fingercross!

Last but not least, we hope our teammate Fan to get well soon, since she hurt her ankle yesterday. We saw her jumping around the cabin on one foot, very resilient indeed.

All the best, and see you all in TW! Ciao~~
