Climate change presents a significant challenge for current and future generations. To address this critical issue, we invite secondary students to participate in an immersive program that combines Marine Science and Outdoor Education. 

This course provides students with essential 21st-century skills, including resilience, confidence, social competence, and compassion, while fostering a deep understanding of environmental stewardship. 

Through hands-on exploration of marine environments and direct engagement with conservation practices, students will: 

  • Gain practical insights into marine biodiversity and ecosystems 

  • Develop a strong sense of environmental responsibility 

  • Contribute meaningfully to the preservation of our natural resources 

EXPLORE: MARINE IMMERSION 

  • Kayaking: Observe coastal ecosystems firsthand 

  • Science Workshops by SWIMS: Hands-on marine science learning 

DISCOVER: MARINE BIODIVERSITY 

  • Sea Orienteering: Combine navigation with ecological observation 

  • Local Species: Identify and understand Hong Kong's marine life 

  • Biodiversity Data: Collect data on mangrove, seagrass, tidal flat and rocky shore ecosystems 

CONSERVE: CORAL RESTORATION 

  • Coral Mapping (Double Haven): Assess coral health and diversity. 

  • Sample Collection: Collect samples for research purposes. 

  • Field Studies: Discover the importance of coral communities. 

  • Microplastic and Environmental Service: Learn about the importance of microplastics.
