【2024 20IMPACT20 Diary of Resilience - Leg 2 Day 8】Mission Complete

Starting a new day with almost 50 knot of wind and 6m wave sea state was quite exciting and … a bit scary, at least for me.

Earlier this morning, we passed the northern tip of Taiwan and headed to Tainan. Couldn’t believe we will make it to Kaohsiung tonight. 4-day Sailing Around Challenge completed successfully!

Claudia asked me what the hardest moment was - it has to be being on watch at nights: all clothes were wet, everyone was cold and tired, and there’s no moonlight.

Darkness will enlarge all the feelings and fears. I have never looked forward to a sunrise as much as I did this early morning. This journey was definitely a challenge for me. But being surrounded by my teammates gave me tremendous courage of facing the fear directly.

Arrived in Kaohsiung at 9:30pm around. We had a quick celebration to vent out our emotions and tiredness from the past few days.

Tomorrow will be a nice day. Finally, we can take a shower!
