Outward Bound (OBHK) provides a 8-day course for Operation Breakthrough, which comprises sea kayaking, hiking and sailing courses that feature rock climbing, high ropes course activities to achieve powerful change in participants.
The mission is to develop young people through facilitated and challenging personal and group learning experiences in the outdoors, delivered in a safe and supportive manner.
Outward Bound Hong Kong is a leading outdoor education organisation that adopts experiential learning to help young people discover and unleash their potential. There is a great deal of emphasis from the Youth Development Commission on encouraging the next generation for a successful, positive, and prosperous Hong Kong. Outward Bound’s impact on future generations is significant. What our participants take back to their school life, families, and communities will help improve their own outlook for the future and therefore that of Hong Kong.
Operation Breakthrough has chartered the OBHK hosting an 8-day course between 2019-08-03 and 2019-08-10 for 18 Operation Breakthrough youths. On 2019-08-03, 15 participants 6 girls 9 boys kicked-off the training, they completed the challenged course.
A young participant recalled the challenging OB course provides environment and scenario that making her how to take good care of others and herself, teaching her how to deal with a group dynamics different situation. She has better understanding of interpersonal, problem solving and survival skills now.
